To reach out to more users, Google Assistant will now support the Marathi language, in addition to Hindi and English. In addition, seven additional languages will be support to the Assistant in the coming months. In addition, the software giant is also working with the strong 100,000 plus offline Indian language publishers on ‘Project Navlekha’, which allows them to easily start their website and publish on a branded domain with a few simple clicks.

Google Maps is getting a number of new features that are designed for the Indian market. For instance, Google Maps Go is now getting turn-by-turn navigation feature. Previously the feature was missing from the Maps Go, a trimmed version of Google Maps. Plus, Google Maps is also adding better public transport guidance, which will inform riders of upcoming stops and alerts on when to get off. “And thanks to a new partnership with RedBus — India’s largest inter-city bus ticketing service — more than 20,000 routes and 1,500 cities will also be added for intercity bus journey routes,” the company said.
