Boat, the Indian consumer electronics company unveils its first smart ring, featuring a premium ceramic and metal build. Priced at Rs 8,999, the Boat smart ring doubles as an activity tracker and can also monitor various health parameters such as heart rate, sleep, body temperature, and SpO2.
The Boat smart ring is also 5 ATM water and dust-resistant and can be used while swimming or taking a bath. It comes in three sizes and on a single charge, the smart ring can last for up to 7 days.
The key differentiating factor of the boAt smart ring is its smart touch control system, where, the ring can be used to control music playback, and click pictures, and can also be used to scroll through Instagram reels. The Boat smart ring can be used with both Android and iOS devices using the boAt ring app that offers all sorts of health data, including fitness management, recovery status, sleep monitoring, and more.
Besides, the smart ring can also be used for initiating emergency calls. The Boat smart ring will be available for purchase starting August 28 via Flipkart and Amazon.
Besides boAt, brands like Noise also recently announced its first smart ring, which is quite similar to the boAt’s offering. In terms of features, these smart rings offer similar features and capabilities as an affordable fitness band/smart watch sans the display.
