Obi Worldphone, the smartphone company led by former Apple head John Sculley today, announced its entry into India with its flagship smartphone SF1. Obi Worldphone is launching the phone in 2 different RAM and storage options. The 2GB RAM with 16GB storage space version costs Rs 11,999. The 3GB RAM with 32GB storage space costs Rs 13,999.
The SF1 features a unibody design with metallic accents. It has a 5-inch JDI In-Cell IPS full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display offering a pixel density of 443ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
SF1 is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU. It runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with the Obi Lifespeed UI. The Obi Worldphone SF1 supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB)
The front camera on SF1 is 5 MP with LED Flash, while it rear camera is 13MP AF with LED Flash which has a Sony Exmor IMX214 Sensor; f/2.0 Aperture. Obi Worldphone’s SF1 has a 3000 mAh battery.
SF1 comes with 4G LTE and supports FDD B3 1800MHz and TDD B40 2300MHz bands.
Obi Worldphone was co-founded by John Sculley along with Obi CEO Neeraj Chauhan and other partners last year. John is the former head of Apple & Pepsi-Cola.
