Motorola has been teasing the Edge 70 for a while. Although the phone still hasn’t been officially announced, it has now quietly appeared on the company’s Polish and German websites, revealing its full specifications.
As it turns out, the Motorola Edge 70 is the global variant of the recently launched China-exclusive Motorola X70 Air. Available in three colourways – Pantone Gadget Grey, Pantone Lilly Pad, and Pantone Bronze Green, the Motorola Edge 70 features a 6.67-inch pOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits peak brightness.
Powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, the Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air competitor is equipped with a 4,800mAh battery, supporting 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. This means the phone will last way longer than the recently launched iPhone Air and the Galaxy S25 Edge, which has a minuscule 3,900mAh battery. It is just 6mm thick and weighs a mere 159 grams.
Running on Android 16 out of the box, the Motorola Edge 70 will get up to four OS updates and six years of security updates. The phone features both IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, allowing it to withstand water spills and high-pressure water jets.
In terms of optics, the Motorola Edge 70 has a rectangular camera island that houses a 50MP main sensor in addition to a 50MP ultrawide shooter. You also get a 50MP selfie shooter. Available in a single 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant, the Motorola Edge 70 is priced at £700, which approximately amounts to Rs 82,000. However, we will have to wait and see if it costs somewhere around Rs 1 lakh in India.
While the price tag may sound expensive for a device with a mid-range chipset, both Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air cost much more than Motorola’s offering. The company is also bundling a complimentary Moto Tag, Moto Watch Fit, Moto Buds Loop and a 68W fast charger if you pre-order the phone.
