iQOO on Tuesday unveiled its latest Z series smartphone — the iQOO Z9, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. This 5G smartphone will be available for purchase via Amazon from March 13 with a starting price of Rs 19,999.

With a flat bank discount of Rs 2,000 for ICICI card users, the effective price of the iQOO Z9 comes down to Rs 17,999 for the 128 GB model and Rs 19,999 for the 256 GB model. The smartphone is available in Brushed Green and Graphene Blue colour options, featuring a polycarbonate frame and back panel.

The device boasts a 6.67-inch FHD+ resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Dragontrail Star 2 Plus glass. The display also features an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Dimensity 7200 SoC on the iQOO Z9 offers up to a 2.8 GHz clock speed on two high-performance CPU cores and six efficiency cores with a 2 GHz clock speed, along with Arm Mali-G610 graphics. It offers 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256 GB of UFS 2.2-based internal storage with a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion.

The dual-camera setup at the rear includes a 50 MP primary sensor with a 2 MP bokeh lens, and the smartphone also has a 16 MP selfie camera at the front. While the main camera can shoot up to 4K resolution videos, the front-facing camera is limited to 1080p resolution.

The smartphone ships with Android 14-based FunTouchOS skin on top, and the device will receive two major Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates. Unlike the recently launched iQOO Neo 9 Pro, the iQOO Z9 comes with hot apps and hot games. Additionally, the smartphone includes a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging.
