BREAK! Serena Williams has her serve broken with Kerber unleashing an absolute superb forehand winner down the line. No chance of getting that back! Kerber now leads 4-2 in the second set and it could be the difference maker in the end

Angelique Kerber holds her serve even as Serena surged forward. Did help that Serena played a bizarre volley which played into Kerber's hands and she came around to return a forehand that was much harder to return. 

Huge roar from the Wimbledon crowd as Serena punches the drive volley into open court. Trying, fighting to keep the first set going with Kerber drawing ahead once again. Kerber's lob is called out and she challenges, but it is the right call. 30-30. Serena mistiming her backhand and it goes long. Brings up set point for Angelique Kerber. Serena nets her backhand and Kerber wins the opening set 6-3 in 31 minutes

Serena Williams with two consecutive double faults and it presents three break point chances for Kerber. One is saved with a big serve, forehand into the court and then a smash down the centre with Kerber moving into the wrong direction. Another great serve, strecthing Kerber outside the court and the return is into the net. Serena sends the forehand long and Kerber has the break once again

ACE! 125mph serve - Serena's quickest at these Championships and she holds serve for three straight games. After that early blip, she has quickly roared back into the set

BREAK! Serena has the break back as she finally finds her rhythm and has Kerber in all sorts of trouble. Three break points for Serena but she needs just one to draw parity in the opening set

Nadal's forehand goes into the tramlines and Novak Djokovic wins 6-4, 3-6, 7-6, 3-6, 10-8! Djokovic to face Kevin Anderson in the final tomorrow. Fifth Wimbledon final for Djokovic and Nadal loses his first semi-final here. Five hours and 17 minutes across two days!

Nadal goes for a down the line winner at 30-30 and misses the line. Brings up match point for Djokovic. Saves it with a brave drop shot that Novak gets to from the back of the court but it has dropped quite much by then. Deuce. Big serve on the forehand and Djokovic sends the return long. ACE! Clenches his fist in celebration and Nadal holds to make it 8-8. 

Novak Djokovic suddenly looks extremely shaky on serve. A double fault, while trying to serve an ace down the tee, is wide and it gives Nadal two break points. Saves one with a deep return and Nadal's backhand reply is wide. ACE! Another break point saved and it is deuce. Nadal brings up another break point with a massive forehand winner. Called long but Nadal challenges and it is in indeed. Did that angle exist? Barely. Djokovic finds it. Nadal approaches the net after electric movement at the baseline but Novak, somehow, sends it for a forehand pass. Follows it up by moving to the net himself and the deft volley is beyond Nadal's reach. Djokovic with a marvelous backhand winner to bring up game point but Nadal stays in it with a winner of his own. Back to deuce. Nadal whipping one fierce groundstroke after another and that ticks the clock to five hours. Six hours and 35 minutes in the first semi-final. Five hours in the second. And playing. Nadal sends the groundstroke long and that brings up another game point for Novak. Big serve out wide and Nadal's reply is wide

Nadal goes down the line and finds the winner to keep the fifth set going. No tiebreaks - as we all know. We play on!

Nadal serving with his back against the wall. Sends the first ball into the net and then Djokovic has him backtracking from the service return and nadal sends it long. 0-30. Great serve out wide and Djokovic sends it long. 15-30. Another strong serve and it is 30-30. ACE! 40-30. Another big serve, down the tee, and Djokovic can't get it back. HOLD!

Two break point chances come and go for Nadal. Djokovic holds serve with a lovely backhand winner beyond Nadal's left. 

Nadal has his serve pushed. Djokovic gets to 30-30 before Nadal brings up game point with a court splitting forehand and sends the volley into vacant court for a winner. But Djokovic stretches the game as Nadal misses his forehand narrowly. Just went for a little too much and the ball lands into the tramlines. Djokovic goes for the cross court forehand and Nadal has the entire outside court to find with his forehand down the line attempt but this time he sends it long. First break point for Djokovic in this set. Saved! Djokovic once again nets the serve and it is deuce. Oh my word! Djokovic gets his backhand smash to land in but Nadal runs on to whip a sublime forehand winner. WOWZA! Fantastic one-two job. 92mph serve down the line and 99mph forehand winner into the open court. LIKE AN ARROW!

This is the third time that Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have gone into a fifth set in their 14 best of five set matches. They've both won one each. At Roland Garros in 2013, Nadal won 9-7 in the fifth set. At the 2012 Australian Open, Djokovic had prevailed 7-5 in the decider.

For two straight games, both Djokovic and Nadal hold their serve with an ace down the centre. And now it is 3-3 in the fifth set. Meanwhile, wait for the women's final, featuring Serena Williams and Angelique Kerber, continues from its traditional 2 PM (6.30 PM IST) time. Not so much a tradition now, is it? 

UNBELIEVABLE TENNIS! Both Nadal and Djokovic going hammer and tong, finding each and every inch of the court, finding lovely angles, going down the line and going across before Nadal drops the racket head for a drop shot and Djokovic can't get to it. Catches a breath as he stays down. What a breath-less point! Nadal holds at love. 2-2 in the fifth set

A double fault brings up three break back points for Novak. Been a dreadful serving game by Rafa. Saves one with an angled shot which produces a lob and Nadal smashes it away. Another one saved with Djokovic pushed on the backhand and it is sent into the net. Djokovic sends the backhand into the net and that's three chances gone in a hurry. Deuce. Advantage Nadal with a bold volley winner into the open court. ACE on challenge and Nadal wins the fourth set 6-3!

Double break point for Nadal at 15-40 in the eighth game of the fourth set. Nadal with a brave volley as he charges forward on the break point that remains. In an ideal world, Djokovic would have hit it straight at Nadal but here, he shanks it. And the shoe gets a beating, literally. Hits his shoe with the racket multiple times. Won't want to get another warning for harming the grass... BREAK!

Djokovic with a forehand passing shot beyond Nadal as the Spaniard's drop volley sits up quite much. Misses a forehand on the next point and at 15-40, two break points for Djokovic. Nadal sends the forehand long and BREAK BACK!

No trouble for Rafael Nadal holding his serve this time. Gets the job done quickly and moves across to the chair. Super start for the Spaniard!

Rafa Nadal with a breathtaking volley to pounce on a Djokovic shot that looked to be going for a winner. And then closes out the game swiftly. BREAK! Early break gives him the confidence booster he would have needed

Nadal to get play underway on Centre Court. And the serve is put under pressure right away. Nadal's sliced backhand is tame and into the net. Gives Djokovic a break point which is saved with a fierce serve down the centre. Brilliant defensive job by Nadal - moving all around the court and the low return with Djokovic moving forward is mishit a touch and goes wide. Game point Nadal. Not a very convincing second serve, into the hitting zone for Novak and he sends it back for a cross court winner. Back to deuce. Djokovic keeping the pressure firmly on Nadal and the serve goes beyond the 10 minute mark as the Spaniard nets his outstretched forehand to bring the game back to deuce. Break point once again for Djokovic as Nadal nets his backhand. Not been a convincing start for Nadal. Beautiful attacking play by Nadal. Deep returns opening up the court and the looped return is put away for a volley winner. Deuce once again. Djokovic nets the serve and Nadal has another chance to close out the game. Nope. Djokovic denies him with a glorious backhand down the line. Sixth deuce in the game. Djokovic nets his return and Nadal holds after almost 15 minutes!

Both players are on court to resume and finish their Wimbledon semi-final. The practice hit is done and the royalty have taken their seat in the front row of the VIP section. The roof has been closed after Djokovic wished for thta to be done. Both players had to agree to open the roof and play under the sun but the Serb sticking to preferred conditions

Kevin Anderson and John Isner made plenty of records in their marathon match that was won 26-24 in the fifth by the South African. It last six hours and 35 minutes. All the numbers!

For Nadal, the job will be doubly difficult as the conditions will be more suitable for Djokovic and he trails. Before the 11PM curfew, Djokovic defended set point opportunities for Nadal and grabbed one of his own. Final against Kevin Anderson on Sunday awaits. 

Post that, Serena Williams and Angelique Kerber will take court for the women's final. 10 months after Serena gave birth, nine months after Serena could barely move and needed support in mobility. And now, she is into the final of a grand slam. Queen? Super human! In her path of an eighth Wimbledon title stands Angelique Kerber. They had met in 2016 Wimbledon final as well where Serena had won. Repeat?
