
Difficult for MS Dhoni to make comeback if IPL doesn’t happen this year
With the fate of the Indian Premier League yet to be decided, former India opener Gautam Gambhir said that it would get difficult for MS Dhoni to make a comeback to the Indian national cricket team if the former captain has no performance to show in over a year. If the IPL does not happen this year, then it will become very difficult for MS Dhoni to make a comeback. On what basis can he be selected since he’s not been playing for the last one or one and a half year.”
Picking KL Rahul as Dhoni’s replacement, Gambhir saidd, “Obviously his (Rahul’s) keeping is not as good as Dhoni’s, but if you are looking at T20 cricket, Rahul’s a utility player, can keep and bat at No. 3 or 4.

AB de Villiers on playing for South Africa again
South African swashbuckler AB de Villiers says he doesn’t want to create any “false hopes” of a much-awaited comeback at the T20 World Cup this year, which, he feels, could be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I can’t see six months into the future. I would like to play a role but I’m not going to be able to play myself. I’m afraid of such a commitment and creating false hope,” he said.

Michael Vaughan trolls Ravindra Jadeja over his sword-wielding video
In his recent post, Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja spared some time to hone his sword-wielding skills which are often showcased by him with the bat on the field after reaching a milestone.
Few moments after Jadeja posted the video, former England skipper Michael Vaughan came up with a hilarious comment and told Jadeja that his lawn needs mowing. “Your grass needs a mow Rockstar,” he commented. In reply to Vaughan’s comment, Jaddu wrote, “Yes but I don’t know how to cut it #coronaeffect.”

ATP warns players of unsolicited help from French firm
In a letter, the ATP has written to the players that the company Atton & Price claims to be starting a ‘Tennis Solidarity Fund’ and says it’s working closely with the tennis governing bodies.
“During this time, we expect that you will be approached with various offers for financial relief. We recommend that you be cautious and confirm the legitimacy of any unsolicited approaches that you receive before you decide to pursue them,” it wrote.

Tottenham take U-turn on decision to furlough staff
