IPL 2024 Orange Cap Holder: Both Sanju Samson and KL Rahul rose up the charts to 2nd and 3rd position in the Orange Cap race with their respective knocks in the Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals match on Saturday.

Earlier, following his 19-ball-29, which included two fours and as many sixes, Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant was second in the runs tally but dropped down to 4th. Pant now has 371 runs from 10 outings, which include three half-centuries.

Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine is now on fifth spot in the Orange Cap race with another quickfire knock against Punjab Kings at the Eden Gardens on Friday. Narine smashed 71 off 32 balls as he moved upto the second spot with 357 runs. On Thursday, Virat crossed 400 runs in the season to keep his lead in the Orange Cap leaderboard with a half-century against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad.

Every year when the Indian Premier League (IPL) season comes around, a lot of eyes are on the players who score the most number of runs in the season, thereby getting the Orange Cap.

Last season, current Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the Orange Cap with 890 runs. He was followed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis who scored 730 and Chennai Super Kings Devon Conway with 672. RCB’s Virat Kohli was at number 4 with 639 while Yashasvi Jaiswal came in at 5 with 625.
