Now they have beat the visitors by no less than eight wickets. But the importance of this series can be seen from the way fans were celebrating when the team did a lap of honour around the ground. It may have been a far cry from the gritty Test matches that have been played in Karachi back in the day but the city turned up in numbers to welcome the return of international cricket after nine long years.
