Mohammad Amir made a comeback in the international circuit in 2016 with the limited overs series against New Zealand after he faced a ban of 5 years for spot fixing during a Test match in Lord’s in 2010 against England.

Amir turned out to be a crucial weapon for Pakistan in Asia cup 2016 where the left-arm quick bowler picked 7 wickets in 4 matches.

Though, Pakistan had a dismal performance during this tournament but Amir showed lethal character with his bowling.


This was the first ocassion when the Asia cup took place in the shortest format.

His performance in World T20 didn’t match up his abilities as he just picked 3 wickets in 4 matches but bowled with a decent economy of 7.86.
