LSG IPL 2025 retained and released players: Lucknow Super Giants have retained Nicolas Pooran, Ravi Bishnoi, Mayank Yadav, Ayush Badoni and Mohsin Khan ahead of mega auction 2024.
The LSG franchise finished 3rd in the 2022 and 2023 seasons under Rahul. But Lucknow could not make its way into the play-offs last season which might have added to the skipper’s non retention.
Swashbuckling batter Nicholas Pooran, meanwhile, will reportedly be retained by the franchise while pacer Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi and Ayush Badoni are the other players expected to stay on with the team moving forward.
With the IPL set to head into another mega-auction and a fresh three-year cycle, starting with the IPL 2025 season next year, the upcoming retentions will prove to be crucial for all 10 franchises in adopting new strategies for success.
