After their gold medal-winning campaign at the Asian Games, Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian team will return to action with a rare bumper schedule of high-profile home games. First up, is a visit from Heather Knight’s England who will play three T20Is followed by a Test match.

Indian women will be playing a Test match at home for the first time in more than nine years.

Before that, they would look to kickstart their preparations for the T20 World Cup next year in Bangladesh against a strong English side which will be bolstered by the return of star spinner Sophie Ecclestone.

These assignments will be the first for Amol Muzumdar in his role as India’s new head coach. India were without a designated head coach since Ramesh Powar was moved out of the role in December last year, and had Hrishikesh Kanitkar overseeing things at this year’s World Cup and Asian Games in an interim role.

India have some new faces to pick from potentially, as Shreyanka Patil and Saika Ishaque have been called up based on their impressive WPL campaigns.

All matches of this series, as well as the one after that featuring World Champions Australia, will be played in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. The matches will be live on Sports 18 network in India.
