IND vs BAN 3rd ODI Highlights: India crush Bangladesh by 227 runs, BAN win series 2-1

Washington gets the important wicket of Mahmudullah, traps the batter in front with a conventional off-spinner. The sixth Bangladesh wicket falls. Just a matter of time now. Bangladesh need 265 runs, at more than 11 per over. 

Shakib Al Hasan, with 43, was the only batter that was offering some sort of resistance to India. He was being inventive with his shot making but pays the price for high risk shots. He backs away to try and dab Kuldeep through the offside but ends up chopping it on the stumps.

Umran Malike strikes for India! The decision was overturned for the LBW and Yasir Ali walks back for 25. It was full and coming into the batter and the batter was struck in front. Umpire gave it not out but India review it correctly. Score after 20 overs, BAN: 109/4

Yasir Ali Chowdhury, the right-handed Bangladeshi middle-order batsman breaks the shackles at last! Kuldeep Yadav with the flighted ball, and the batter went down on his leg and hit it over long-on. Score after 19 overs, BAN: 106/3

In 2021 ODIs, Mushfiqur Rahim averaged 60.7 against spinners in eight innings with three dismissals. However, this year, he averages 24 with five dismissals in nine innings.

I am happy to get runs for my team, the wicket was very good. My intent was very clear to just hit the ball as we wanted a big total. I am blessed to have my name between such gun players, such legends to hit 200 and I'm so happy about it but still I feel when I got out 15 overs were still there, maybe I could have scored 300 also.

I was batting with Virat bhai and you can't ask for more he has such a good sense of the game. Just asking him what is the situation of the game, what should I do. He was spot on with which bowlers I need to select and when to takes singles. He was calming me down in my 95 and 90s and was planning to go for a six but he said it will be your first hundred so go for singles and then you can smack but my approach was to just watch the ball and if its there, no matter on what score I am batting, I'll just go for it.

I had a chat about this with Surya bhai and he said if you bat before the match, you watch the ball pretty well and you are calm so I was just doing the same thing batting before the game. Actually it helped me. I was calm and I didn't take too much pressure on myself and was just there to make the use of my opportunity."

Riding on the double hundred from Ishan Kishan (210) and Virat Kohli’s 44th ODI century (113) helped India to 409 for 8. Ishan Kishan made history by becoming the seventh batsman in one-day international cricket to hit a double century and the fastest to achieve the feat. While Kohli and Ishan made full use of the pitch and plundered the bowling attack of Bangladesh, KL Rahul ( 8 off 10) and Shreyas Iyer (3 off 6) failed to impress. A bunch of wickets slowed down the scoring rate of India and what looked like a 450+ score at one moment ended up at 409/8 in 50 overs.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, who struggled initially, notched up his 72nd international century; he goes past Ricky Ponting to be second on the list in the most number of centuries in international cricket.

Mustafizur Rahman gets his first wicket of the day. Full on the middle stump. Thakur tries to go big, clears his front leg and slaps this down the ground. Skipper Litton Das is standing at long on and takes an easy catch. Shardul mistimes and perishes.

Virat Kohli made the most of the early reprieve and scored his 44th ODI century. Kohli slammed 11 boundaries and two sixes on his way en route to his century.

Kohli also ended his three years long drought. His triple-figure mark in the ODI was against West Indies in 2019.

Good length outside the off stump. Sundar rocks back and gets very deep in the crease trying to play with the spin and across the line in the leg side. Gets an inside edge between his legs on the off stump. Some redemption for Shakib.

FOUR! oor attempt in the deep. Sundar is very low and takes the full toss as an opportunity to sweep. In the air towards deep square leg who misses the ball in the sun and allows it go beyond the boundary.

Chops this back on the stumps. Axar departs for 17. Good length angled away from outside the off stump, another cutter at 130kph. Axar rocks back trying to pull but the length isn't short enough for the shot to be executed well. Gets an inside edge and chops this back on the stumps on the bounce.

Over the wicket, back of length delivery, an off cutter outside the off stump. Patel gets on the front foot and smacks this hard off the middle of the bat. Just beats the diving long on fielder at the fence!

Ishan Kishan replaced regular captain Rohit Sharma, who was ruled out after injuring his left thumb in the second match. The southpaw, playing his first ODI against Bangladesh, not only scored his maiden hundred, he doubled it. Ishan Kishan scored 210 off 134 balls. His knock was studded with 24 fours and ten sixes. The 24-year-old becomes the quickest as well as youngest to achieve the feat. He joined Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma in the elite list. After over 1200 days since his last ODI ton, Virat Kohli gets another hundred in the 50-over game. And he does it in style with a six over the leg side. This is his 72nd international ton. Score after 39 overs, IND: 330/3

A stunning knock comes to an end! That was short of a length and Ishan Kishan decided to hit it over the bowler's head but the connection wasn't proper. Two fielders converge and almost collide but this time skipper Litton Das takes the catch and Taskin Ahmed gets the wicket. This will be an inning to remember- 24 fours and 10 sixes. 65th Half-century for Virat Kohli and now he too is getting a move along.

Virat Kohli has often said how he and his ultimate sporting hero Cristiano Ronaldo have a lot in common. By his own admission, both aren’t naturally-gifted, say like a Messi, but it’s only through hard work that they have stayed at the top of their sport. Kohli has also mentioned how Ronaldo gets “targeted on a daily basis but has the mental strength, the will to work hard and the desire to keep coming back”.
