Qais Ahmad introduced in the attack now as we reach the halfway mark. After a single from the first couple of deliveries, Nehal with a huge six!!! Last over inside the powerplay now and Abdul Rahman will bowl this one. Badoni takes a single to start this one off. Tilak tries to come down the tracks but misses it!! Allah Ghazanfar continues and Prabhsimran sweeps for a single. Abhsihek on strike and he swings for a 6!!! India have started on the right note. AND GONE!!! He just scoops it onto the palms of the man at cover!!

And again!! He cuts for an exquisite four runs, bissecting two fielders!! And he has smashed the next one to the cover boundary!!! What a hit!!! Ufff!!! Almost taken there but he survives!! Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh will begin the run chase while Allah Ghazanfar has the new ball for Afghanistan A. Just 2 runs from the first 5 deliveries and a single more to end this tight over. IND A 3/0 after 1 over.

Aaqib in the attack now and that's a great collection by the keeper!! Is it an edge? The umpire says no. There's a check gouing on though. Looks like there was an edge. Zubaid can't believe it. He still isn't leaving the ground beacuse the coach wants to sort out this decision with the umpire. He finally walks back.

And to make matters worse, it's a no ball and Atal is waiting on the other end, licking his lips for the free hit. Dances down the track and he smashes it for a 6!!! And would you kow it, that's another no ball and another free hit!! And that's even bigger as this one is also sent to the stands!!! It's a nightmare for India.  And another 6 to end the over!! Badoni in the atatck again and Atal strikes the ball very hard and it just goes through a fielder's grip but gets a single. And here's a single to bring up Zubaid's 50!! And the next ball, Atal brings up his half century with a 4!! AFG 104/0 after 12 overs

Rahul Chahar continues and yields 3 runs from the first 3 deliveries as the AFG batters are content to only mine singles. Ultimately 6 singles from the 6 stipulated deliveries. AFG A 95/0 after 11 overs 

Tilak brings himself int0o the attack now and starts with a loosener which is smacked by Atal but a fielder is there to cut the shot off. A quick single next by Zubaid and Atal is back on strike. AFG 89/0 after 10 overs 

Ayush Badoni continues and Atal has just swung it over the ropes for a six!!! India are coming under pressure now. Huge LBW shout next but the umpire isn't interested. Exquisite strike by Atal next and gets two. Is that astumping now? Badoni looks convinced. The umpire goes upstairs. The backfoot has landed inside the crease just in time. Atal survives. Spin is in as Rahul Chahar is introduced. Zubaid does not care as he comes dowmn the ground and smashes a 6 off the third ball!! AFG 76/0 after 8 overs 

Ayush Badoni in the attack again and yields just 1 from the first 3 deliveries. With the fielding restruictions done, expect thye scoring to slow down a tad. India, meanwhile, need a wicket. AFG A 65/0 after 7 overs

Last over of the powerplay and Aaqib is back in the attack. Zubaid on strike and he has smashed the first ball over the boundary for a 6!!! Takes a quick single and the dangerous Atal is on strike. He takes a single and gives the initiative back to Zubaid. And he picks up the next ball and smashed it for another boundary!! Ufff he brings out a cut this timer and gets another four, picking the gap to perfection!! Ends to over with a straight 4!!! AFG A 61/0 after 6 overs

Ayush Badoni in to bowl the penultimate over in the powerplay and gives away 2 from the first 3 deliveries. Zubaid tries a big hit but it falls just short of the fielder amid shouts of 'catch it'. And Atal with another boundary. He is not holding back at all. AFG A 41/0 after 5 overs

Kamboj over the wicket and Atal with a straight bat, over the bowler's head and one bounce into the ropes. What a confident shot!! India need to take this wicket or they ae looking at chasing a big total. As I was typing, Atal swings his bat again and that has flaoted over the deep backward point boundary for a 6!!! Ends the over with a straight drive and a single. AFG A 34/0 after 4 overs

Rasikh Salam in the attack and Atal with a big shot but the ball fails to reach the boundary due to the slow outfield. Gets 2 though. Atal takes another go but a bit of misfield from India gives him the boundary he was looking for. Brilliant ball cuts him in half next as Salam makes a comeback. AFG 18/0 after 3 overs

Aaqib Khan will bowl the next over, going over the wicket to Zubaid who blocks the first ball. Gets cramped for space again nin the second ball and can't get his shot away. Another dot ball follows as Khan keeps it very, very tight. The batter finally gets to open his arms but picks out a fielder. Still no runs from this one. And Zubaid has had enough, comes down the ground and smashes it high for a boundary!! AFG A 11/0 after 2 overs

Sediqullah Atal and Zubaid Akbari are in the middle now and Anshul Kamboj has the new ball in his hands. Starts with a short and wide delivery which Zubaid smashes to the boundary!! Tries again but does not get the desired connection but takes a single. AAtal off the mark too with a single. 7/0 after 1 over

Unfortunately no Indians feature in the best bowling charts with Sri Lanka's Dushan Hemantha leading with 10 wickets, followed by Bangladesh's Ripon Mondol with 8 wickets and UAE's Muhammad Farooq with 7 wickets. Pakistan's Shahnawaz Dahani is 4th with 6 wickets while Hong Kong's Anas Khan is 5th with 6 wickets. Rasikh Dar Salam is the highest placed Indian having got 6 wickets as well and is at No. 6 position.

If you look at the highest run-getter for this tournament, there are two Indian in the Top 5 with Abhishek Sharma at 3rd with 127 runs while skipper Tilak Varma is 5th with 101. Afghanistan's Sediqullah Atal leads the charts with 230 while Hong Kong's Babar Hayat is 2nd with 162. Bangladesh's Parvez Hossain Emon is 4th with 106 runs.

India will be wary of Afganistan opener Sediqullah Atal who has had a dream run in the tournament, scoring 52 against Hong Kong, 95 against Bangladesh A and 83 against Sri Lanka A.

Anshul Kamboj took 3 wickets against Pakistan A while Abhishek Sharma's blitzkrieg helped India win against UAE. In the last group match, Ayush Badoni was the man who stood out with a swashbuckling 51 runs. The emergence of a new player seering the match India's way show sthe depth that the Men in Blue possess.
