Shikhar Dhawan’s sore hand is not the only concern the Indian team has ahead of the Boxing Day Test as it is learnt that all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja too injured himself during training on Saturday. According to a team source, a clearer picture of Jadeja’s injury will available only on Sunday after test reports of scans done are obtained.
“As of now the exact extent of the injury is not clear. But we are hoping to find out the exact nature of the injury by tomorrow morning. We are hoping for the best because at 0-2 down in the series we ideally would want all our players available for selection for the third Test,” the team source said on Saturday.
Jadeja has not been part of the first two Tests — at Adelaide and Brisbane — but could be in the mix when the team management sit down to stake stock. India medium-pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar missed the first two Tests because of an ankle injury but could be declared fit in time for the third Test.
