Indian women basketball team went down 66-69 against home favourites Indonesia, losing their chance to enter quarterfinals. It was a close match. The hosts started well but the Indian side caught up to make it 66-66 towards the end. However, Indonesia took three point lead in the end to enter quarterfinals.

Indian duo of Ponnappa and Rankireddy bow out of the mixed doubles. The Indian pair lost  25-27, 21-16 to Thailand's World no 15 pair of Dechapol and Sapsiree.

India assured of a medal in men's singles as Prajnesh Gunneswaran defeats Kwon Soon-woo 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 to reach Asian Games semifinals. It was a thrilling match won by Prajnesh. What a rally to win the final point after rain had interrupted the match at 6-6 in the third set tiebreaker.
