BJP leaders extended their wishes to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on his 51st birthday Monday, saying that he had been responsible for “all-round progress” in the state and brought “good governance to the ground”.
In a tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Birthday greetings to Uttar Pradesh’s dynamic CM @myogiadityanath Ji. Over the last 6 years, he has provided great leadership to the state and ensured all-round progress. On key parameters, UP’s development has been remarkable. Praying for his long and healthy life.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Uttar Pradesh was doing “commendable work” under the guidance of PM Modi and leadership of Adityanath to bring in “welfare and good governance to the ground in Uttar Pradesh”.
Piyush Goyal, the Union Cabinet Minister and Rajya Sabha floor leader, said that Adityanath had “played a commendable role in making the country self-reliant by the development of the state”.
Wishing Yogi, UP deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya called Adityanath “energetic, hardworking and a strong orator”.
“I pray to Lord Shriram that you live long and always be healthy and happy,” he said.
Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy said: “Along with public welfare, your commitment in making Uttar Pradesh a Uttam (number one) Pradesh is commendable.”
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma tweeted similarly, saying the CM was engaged in making Uttar Pradesh a “developed and uttam state”.
“Your commitment to provide crime-free and fear-free governance to the people of the state is setting new records of selfless public service,” Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar said.
“I wish that Uttar Pradesh, the divine land of Lord Shri Ram ji, Shri Krishna ji and saints-vibhutis, irrigated by holy rivers like Mother Ganga, Yamuna and Sarayu moves towards happiness, peace and prosperity under your leadership,” he added.
Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said, “You have established new dimensions of public service and development with eternal values.”
Cricketer Suresh Raina also joined in to wish Adityanath. “Your unwavering dedication towards the development and progress of our nation is truly inspiring. May you continue to lead with strength, wisdom, and compassion,” he said.
Opposition leaders including Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Mayawati also wished the CM.
Adityanath offered prayers at the Goraknath Temple in Gorakhpur on the occasion of his birthday. The CM started his political journey in 1998, becoming the MP from the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency. He was Gorakhpur MP for five consecutive terms from 1998 to 2017.
