BJP launches campaign anthem
The bjp Tuesday launched its campaign anthem titled “Saugandh” wherein party’s prime ministerial hopeful Narendra Modi makes a pledge not to let the country down. While Modi has lent his voice to the pledge in the anthem, the lyrics of the song has been written by Prasoon Joshi. The music is composed by Aadesh Srivastava, the song is sung by Sukhwinder Singh. Narendra Modi is the lone BJP leader who features in the video of the anthem that was released by senior party leader Arun Jaitley.
Akbar appointed BJP spokesperson
BJP president Rajnath Singh Tuesday appointed senior journalist M J Akbar as party spokesperson barely days after he joined the party. The BJP president also appointed party leader Arun Singh in-charge of party’s affairs in Orissa where the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are being held simultaneously.
