A class 10 student of a Pune school committed suicide by jumping before a train after he was allegedly beaten by teachers for speaking to a girl from another class and giving her chits.
The principal and three teachers of Nutan Madhyamik Vidyalay,have been arrested and booked under Section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the IPC,Police Inspector Devidas Patil said.
He said the student,Chetan Sunil Bhalerao,had gone to school on Tuesday,but did not return home. Around 4 am on Wednesday,the family got a call from the police that Chetans body was found on the railway tracks. Police said he jumped before a train.
