SC allows Jha to release Chakravyuh,but with riders

The Supreme Court on Friday allowed producer-director Prakash Jha to release his film Chakravyuh that has a controversial song

The Supreme Court on Friday allowed producer-director Prakash Jha to release his film Chakravyuh that has a controversial song mentioning ‘Tata,Birla and Bata’ but with certain conditions. Jha,through his counsel and senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi,has been told by SC that an on-screen disclaimer should be flashed during the screening of the song.

The ruling Bench asked the director to ensure in future that audio disclaimers should be aired before the songs are played on radio stations taking public interest into consideration.
