The NCP on Wednesday expelled Mary Paulson Pallithara and Paulson Pallithara for maligning the image of the party by taking part in Christmas celebrations with alleged gangsters in Chembur. NCP had initially disowned the couple,saying the party was in the process of conducting organisational elections and the previous committees had been dissolved.

“The Paulsons have maligned the image of the party by

their act…by being associated with the event. State NCP

president Madhukar Pichad has directed that they be suspended from the party for six years,” party spokesperson Madan Bafna told PTI.
