A picture showing students massaging his legs and feet has put a government teacher in trouble. The J&K government suspended the teacher,Bashir Ahmad Bhat,after the picture was uploaded on Facebook.
Soon after we received information about it,we visited the school and following a preliminary inquiry suspended the teacher. A detailed inquiry has been initiated, said Mohammad Abdullah Rather,Zonal Education Officer of Srigufwara.
On Sunday evening,some unidentified people posted a picture on Facebook. It showed Bhat sitting on a chair and talking on his mobile phone,and two students,both less than 10 years age and in their school uniform,massaging his legs and feet.
The picture,reportedly clicked at Government Primary School,Kasnad village in south Kashmir,went viral on Facebook,prompting a team from the Education department to visit the school on Monday and suspend Bhat.
