Neetu Singh, who was deported on the charge of anti-national activities has said the charges are absurd.

Nothing could be farther from truth if anyone says I am involved with any political party or any activities against India, Neetu Singh told The Sunday Express. Her arrest and deportation were first reported by The Indian Express.

Speaking from an undisclosed location, the student of editing said: I am not feeling safe as Amaresh Singh (her husband) has been threatening me for the past two years over the phone. He recently said he would have acid thrown on my face.

Everyone in the institute knew about my connections. On Sundays, when our institute mess used to be closed,I would go for meals outside in a group. Shooting and outdoor assignments were all part of group activities, she said. I am being framed and it is clear who is behind it.

Neetu, however,is confident that she would get justice. I have full confidence in my colleagues and friends as well as teachers and the Institute staff who know me very well. I am feeling a bit unsafe here, although a UN staffer approached me to express their concern over my safety, Neetu said. Let me first get out of this crisis which is the outcome of one persons conspiracy and then I will decide the course I would adopt to redeem my honour.
