The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) have sealed the premises of Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd in Secunderabad,the head office of Deccan Chronicle newspaper. The newspaper management had intimated its editorial staff not to go to the office after 5 pm on Tuesday as there was some technical glitch.
On July 8,the CBI had registered a case of cheating and criminal conspiracy against DC chairman T Venkatarami Reddy. The CBI had registered the case under Sections 120-B read with Section 420,468 and 471 of the IPC based on a complaint lodged by Canara Bank in connection with the alleged fraud perpetrated at its Secunderabad branch.
