Chambal Ferti Jun Q profits dip to Rs 63.96 cr

Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd today reported a marginal fall in its net profit to Rs 63.69 crore for the quarter ended June 30,2011.

Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd (CFCL) today reported a marginal fall in its net profit to Rs 63.69 crore for the quarter ended June 30,2011.

The net profit of the company in the year-ago period stood at Rs 63.96 crore,it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The net sales of the company in the June quarter rose by almost 21 per cent to Rs 1,150.29 crore as compared to Rs 951.45 crore in the same period of the previous year.

The company operates two urea plants in Rajasthan with a production capacity of about 2 million tones of urea per annum. It has also diversified into shipping,textiles and software sector.

Shares of the company today closed at Rs 84.75,up by 1.01 per cent from previous close at the BSE.
