BJP MLA from Kampli,Karnataka,T H Suresh Babu,on Monday surrendered before the Andhra Pradesh Anti-Corruption Bureau(ACB) probing the cash-for-bail case involving former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhana Reddy.
Suresh Babu and MLA Somasekhara Reddy,who is Galis brother,have been accused of arranging for Rs 2 crore reportedly paid as bribe to CBI judge T Pattabhirama Rao who gave bail to Gali in the Obulapuram illegal mining case.
Suresh Babu was taken into custody by the ACB and his statement was being recorded. On July 24,the ACB had issued notices to the two MLAs asking them to appear before it in Hyderabad within three days. Based on arrested accused Dasarath Ram Reddy,notices were issued to the two MLAs.
