30 Indian fishermen arrested by SL Navy

All Fishermens Associations has decided to boycott fishing from Wednesday.

Sri Lanka has arrested 30 Indian fishermen for allegedly poaching in its waters,Naval spokesperson Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya said on Tuesday. Seven trawlers of Indian fishermen violated the international maritime border and were arrested Monday night while fishing close to Nainativu,he said. They will be handed over to the Director of Fisheries before being taken to Kankesanturai Harbour for further investigations. The All Fishermens Associations has decided to boycott fishing from Wednesday,demanding release of all fishermen in Lankan jails.
