Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu has described Twenty20 cricket as ‘fast food’.

On what he thought of the ongoing Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa, Sidhu termed it as ‘fast food’, and added that Test cricket was a ‘big tree while one-day games were its branches’.

On Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s selection as skipper for the Twenty20 World Cup and forthcoming Australia tour, Sidhu said it was a positive decision.

“Though there are senior players like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid deserving post of captain, yet they have avoided responsibility to concentrate on the game,” he said.

Siddhu alongwith Amritsar Mayor Shwet Malik and other officers of Amritsar Municipal Corporation (AMC) visited a project of Nasik Municipal Corporation (NMC) of producing fertiliser from garbage at Pathardi, near Nasik on Thursday.

AMC officials visited the project site of NMC as they also plan to set up a similar project in Amritsar.

Earlier, Nasik Mayor Vinayak Pande welcomed AMC officials.
