Maharashtra Director General of Police A N Roy on Sunday said three more persons were still wanted in connection with Malegaon blasts. Meanwhile, the Haryana Railway Police team interrogated Lt Col P S Purohit and Dayanand Pandey for their possible involvement in Sam-jhauta Express blast in Panipat.
“At least three persons are still wanted in the September 29 Malegaon blast case in which ten persons have been arrested so far,” DGP Roy said in Mumbai, adding that investigations had not reached an end yet. But he refused to comment on whether the ATS was investigating the possible role of those arrested in the Malegaon case in other blasts, apart from the 2004 Jalna and 2007 Samjhauta Express.
In Chandigarh, Railway Police IG K K Mishra said: “The Haryana team today interrogated Mahant Dayanand (Pandey) and Lt Col Srikant Prasad Purohit. Since the Sadhvi Pragya Thakur has been sent to the judicial custody she was not available for interrogation.” He said the Haryana Police would try to obtain production warrants to interrogate the three accused in connection with the Samjhauta blasts in February last year.
