Last 1 year post World Cup mixed one for us: Dhoni

Asked about his team's goal next season,he said improving the consistency level is the key.

Exactly a year and a day after India retained World Cup,skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni feels that past season has been a “mixed one” for them.

“We had ups and downs. We won the World Cup which was very big for us. After that,we did not do well in England and Australia. It is a big season for us. The last T20 game we played was official last game of the season. We will get the break after the IPL. It was a mixed season for us,” Dhoni told the media persons in Chennai here today.

Asked about his team’s goal next season,he said that improving the consistency level was key.

“We will like to be more consistent wherever we go. It was tough in the sense to play the World Cup at home. Too much of expectations, then you visit the countries where you are supposed to do well and you are hit by injuries. If your batsmen or bowlers are out of form, that also has an impact. this is something every side goes through. In the coming years,we would like to be consistent in whatever format we play,” he said.
