The Indian boys upset title contenders Hong Kong 2-1 in their last group league match to book a semi-final berth in the team event of the 14th Asian Junior Squash Championship,here on Wednesday.

Prior to this match,both teams were level on points with two wins each to their credit.

India needed a win to top Group B and avoid title favourites Malaysia in the last-four stage. They will now meet Korea in Thursdays semi-final.

India were in deep waters after top junior player Aditya Jagtap went down to Leo Au of Hong Kong 6-11,8-11,11-13 in the first encounter. However,Karan Malik put the hosts on level terms. The Delhi boy fought hard to edge out Ngo Long Sung 11-9,5-11,11-5,6-11,11-7 in a match lasting 53 minutes. In the decider,Ravi Dixit gave Nelson Chan no chance,winning 11-7,11-9,11-8 in 39 minutes to wrap up the contest.
