97 players register for auction
New Delhi: Former Indian Cricket League recruits like Shane Bond and Damien Martyn,26 Pakistan players and four associate-country players are among the 97 who have registered themselves for the third Indian Premier League auction to be held on January 19. The franchises will decide the shortlist for the final auction by Tuesday. Franchises can include a maximum of 10 foreign players in their teams.
Nagpur,Kolkata Test venues
New Delhi: Test cricket will return to Eden Gardens after a two-year gap after BCCI on Sunday named Kolkata and Nagpur as the venues of the two-match India-South Africa Test series scheduled next month. Kanpur,Jaipur and Ahmedabad would host the one day internationals,BCCI secretary N Srinivasan said in a statement.
