A two-year-old girl, Ramya’s cheek, hands and legs were seared by her mother’s employer in Nagshethalli area of Karnataka for making noise. The incident occurred on Wednesday, when Ramya

was playing in a house where her mother Girija was employed as help. Girija’s employer Rama seared her skin with a hot iron, when she made a noise while playing. After that, Rama threw Ramya and her mother out.

A passer-by took them to police station. Girija’s husband Ashok later lodged a complaint. Polic e are investigating.
