MUMBAI, February 6: Only 46 lots were paraded in the ring out of the advertised 664 at the Mahalakshmi race course and merely 26 exchanged hands for the Mumbai Auction Sale of two-year-old bloodstock on Thursday.

Twenty lots could not be sold as there were no offers as desired by the concerned breeders. The average price of the horse was Rs 60,000. A dark bay filly, the property of Yeravada Stud and Agricultural Farm, was sold for Rs 2,50,000 and that was the highest priced paid. On other hand, a bay colt of V R Farms was sold for just Rs 1,000.
