TITUCORIN, Sep. 22: Though Indian spice exports have gone up to touch the Rs 1,000 crore mark and trade barriers have been dissolved by the WTO, the Indian spice industry has to become more competetive in the future to stay in a leading position, according to the chairman of the Spices Board, V Jayashankar.
