Golfer wins court battle to use cart
OREGON: A disabled professional golfer has won his legal battle to use a cart in professional tournament events. US magistrate Thomas Coffin ruled that under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) the Professional Golfers Association Tour was obligated to make an exception from its rules for Casey Martin, a promising 25-year-old player who suffers from a circulation disorder that makes it extremely painful for him to walk.
