PATNA, December 17: Former Union Minister Chanderdeo Prasad Verma was today granted bail by the Patna High Court in a conspiracy angle case of the fodder scam.
Justice P K Sarin allowed Verma’s plea for bail in the case relating to fraudulent withdrawal of more than Rs 37 crore from the Chaibasa treasury by officials of the animal husbandry department.

Justice Sarin while allowing his prayer directed him to furnish a bail bond of Rs one lakh and two sureties of a like amount in the court of the designated CBI judge, S K Lal. The court also asked Verma to deposit his passport, if any, with the designated court.
