The body of Sulabha More, wife of Maharashtra Minister for School Education and Cultural Affairs Ramkrishna More, was found floating in Indrayani river at Dehu today. Sulabha, 51, has been missing from home since Tuesday.
According to the Dehu Road police, residents spotted the body floating in the river near Gatha temple at around 3.30 pm. The body was retrieved with the help of the fire brigade and her identity ascertained by relatives. The body was later shifted to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital in Pimpri.
Scores of Dehu residents, Pimpri-Chinchwad Mayor Prakash Revale, PCMC corporators and Health Department officials and senior police officials rushed to the hospital on hearing the news. More, who was in Mumbai, is set to arrive in Pune tonight.
Sulabha and More have been living apart for the last three-and-a-half years. She lived at Shivajinagar in Pune with son Rahul (24). More, when in Pune, lives in Nal Stop area. She had been undergoing treatment for depression for the last few years, sources said.
