BJP state president Ravindra Chavan made it clear that the minister's audit is not just based on administrative performance in their respective department but also on performance in elections.

At an internal meeting recently, BJP state president Ravindra Chavan issued a stern warning to BJP ministers to focus on their assigned districts and deliver results. An insider said, “Chavan has said that ministers should show results in local bodies polls. Those who fail will invite strong action.” He thereby made it clear that the minister’s audit is not just based on administrative performance in their respective department but also on performance in elections.

Honourable exit

Amid claims of clean governance, a cabinet minister’s senior staff member recently quit the office after the leader’s son decided to intervene in contract-based appointments in the department. Expressing clear unwillingness to ‘intervention’ in level C and D workers’ appointments, the staff member chose an honourable exit instead of getting his image maligned.
