Having an adequate and consistent skincare routine is a must to achieve healthy and glowing skin. And, your regimen doesn’t necessarily be too complex or include a lot of actives and expensive products. When it comes to skincare, doing what’s right for ‘your’ skin is the key!

Zareen Khan believes in something similar as she recently took to her YouTube channel to give a glimpse of her fuss-free simple skincare routine. “I don’t have a fixed skincare routine. My skin is mostly the product of my good genes. I believe in natural things for my skin,” she said.

Owing to her sensitive skin, the actor relies on a minimal and natural routine. “My skin is extremely sensitive. I have tried really expensive and branded products but somehow they have always given me rashes. So, it’s very rare for me to find a product that works for my skin. Therefore, I usually rely on ingredients present in my kitchen,” she said in the video.

Zareen added that there is a natural homemade face pack that she firmly believes in. “I would like to share it with you all,” she said, sharing the method of preparing and applying this DIY face pack.

Method

*In a bowl, take a teaspoon of besan, a pinch of turmeric, and some milk.
*Mix everything well to form a thick paste.
*Clean your face without applying the pack so that your pores don’t get clogged.
*Apply this face pack on your entire face and neck using a brush or simply your hands.
*Leave it on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.
*Dab your face dry instead of rubbing it with a towel.

“Besan has acne-fighting properties, Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties, and milk has brightening properties. For those with dry skin, you can use malai instead of milk,” Zareen said.

Following the face pack, she applies moisturiser and sunscreen. “Applying sunscreen is an absolute must. Many people underestimate its importance but it’s crucial to apply sunscreen even when you are indoors,” she said.

Concluding the video, Zareen said that you can apply this DIY face pack 2-3 times a week but using a moisturiser and sunscreen is a must every single day.
