She started her makeup tutorial by first applying a foundation using a beauty blender, followed by contour. “I take my brush and then start at my ear and go down at an angle. You can start out with a lot and dab it out. I am contouring my face where I kind of want to carve out shadows. So, I contour on my cheekbones and forehead,” she said.

Next up is an under-eye corrector which Gabriel uses in an orangish-red colour to help with any dark spots, especially under her eyes. This is followed by a concealer. “I go under my eyes and all the way up to give more of a sharp line, go down my nose right next to the contour line, and then fan it out,” she demonstrated, adding that she applied a little bit of concealer on the chin, down the nose, and the forehead as well.

The beauty pageant winner then goes on to dab the concealer using a sponge, blending it into the contour. “Next, I take my brow gel to comb out my brows and get them in shape. This is a gel so I like to give it time to dry and I’ll come back to it later,” she added.

To set all the cream-based products, she uses a loose powder and applies it all over. “I use a concealer as a primer for my eyeshadow. It really just keeps my eyeshadow on all day and lets the colour pigmentation really stick,” she said, sharing that the participants had the option to either get their makeup done by professionals or do it themselves. Gabriel chose the latter!

After applying the concealer using a brush, she blends it well and then sets the high points of her with a loose powder using a cheese wedge sponge. And now, it’s time for the eye makeup!

She applies a natural colour under the eyebrows to make them stand out. “I then take an orangish natural colour, start applying from the outside of the eye and go in like a windshield piper. I take a rosy colour and repeat the process. I then take a shimmery colour and apply it on the lid before taking a darker colour and applying it outside,” she said, as she applied the same colours under her lower eyelids.

Gabriel then applies a black eyeliner on top of her eyelid followed by using a gold eyeliner on the waterline. She finishes her makeup with black eyeshadow below her lower eyelid. Next, she uses blush on her cheekbones and highlighter on her cheeks, inner corner of the eyes, nose, and underneath the eyebrows.

After putting on eyelash extensions, she gets back to her eyebrows. “I like to just use an eyebrow pencil. I’ll start on the insides and do little wispy strokes to mimic my hair. I merge my eyelashes using mascara,” she said, finishing off her makeup with red lip colour and setting it all with a setting spray.
