Chaitra Navratri 2025 Date in India: Chaitra Navratri, also known as Ram Navratri, as Lord Rama’s birthday falls on its last day, is one of the most auspicious Hindu festivals dedicated to Goddess Durga. It is celebrated with much devotion and fervour across the country for nine days worshipping the nine forms of Goddess Durga by wearing clothes of the colour which marks that particular day. People start fasting from Pratipada to Navami to receive the blessings of the Goddess.

The festival of Chaitra Navratri falls during the Shukla Paksha or Full Moon phase in the Hindu month of Chaitra, which is late March to April in the Gregorian calendar. This year, Chaitra Navratri will begin on Sunday, March 30, 2025, and conclude on Monday, April 7, 2025.
Notably, this year, the festival of Chaitra Navratri this year, is also coinciding with Ugadi and Gudi Padwa, with both being observed on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
