Bollywood icon Zeenat Aman may not be a whiz in the kitchen, but when it comes to food, she knows exactly what she loves. Taking to Instagram, the evergreen diva shared an insight into her daily meals, reflecting a balanced and mindful approach to eating.
While she admits to only being able to boil an egg for her pet dog, Lily, she follows a philosophy passed down by her mother—”eat small, eat fresh.”
“A completely contrived picture of me ‘cooking’ was once published in a magazine in the 80s. I quite sportingly posed for it, but the truth is the most I can do in the kitchen is boil an egg for Lily. Still, food remains a great joy in my life, and serendipitously, my younger one grew up to be a fabulous chef who occasionally spoils me with elaborate home cooked meals,” the actor wrote on Instagram.
Zeenat Aman starts her day on a minimalist yet nourishing note. A cup of black tea and a bowl of soaked and peeled almonds set the tone for her mornings. This combination is packed with antioxidants, healthy fats, and energy-boosting nutrients, making it a classic way to begin the day.
For breakfast, Zeenat Aman prefers a mix of Western and Indian choices. Most days, she enjoys a smashed avocado on sourdough toast topped with chunks of cheddar cheese—a meal rich in fibre, protein, and healthy fats. However, when she’s in the mood for Indian flavours, she swaps it for a chilla (savoury gram flour pancake) or poha (flattened rice dish).

Zeenat doesn’t shy away from desserts and admits to having a soft spot for chocolates. Her current favorite? Royce’s smooth and rich chocolate squares. While she tries to limit herself to just two squares, she confesses she could easily finish the entire box in one sitting!
