In recent years, there has been a surge in people’s love and fascination for Korean cuisine, majorly driven by K dramas and K-pop. The popularity of dishes like ramen, kimchi, bibimbap, etc has soared. One such extremely popular takeaway from the country’s cuisine is gochujang, which is a spicy paste used in Korean cooking and is made using red chilli peppers, fermented soya beans, rice, and salt. Not just us, even Janhvi Kapoor seem to can’t get enough of gochujang as she had earlier shared that she came up with a gochujang noodles recipe during the lockdown.

“During the lockdown, I saw a bunch of cooking videos and travel shows. So I saw a recipe for really quick noodles. You basically just take Gochujang in a bit of cream and lots of cheese. And you have like, yum garlicky noodles,” she said, in a video shared by Netflix India on YouTube a few months back.

However, the actor gave these noodles a healthy twist. “I’ve put in some vegetables and sausages for some protein. These noodles are actually zero-carb noodles.” As such, Janhvi’s recipe for gochujang noodles is an interesting and quick culinary innovation that you can whip up in just a few minutes.

If you are wondering how to recreate it, here’s a recipe shared by food blogger Prachi Agarkar who detailed Janhvi’s recipe. “Janhavi Kapoor made these during the lockdown and we are totally loving her recipe. It’s spicy creamy and cheesy. The best part is she’s made it low carb by using Shirataki noodles made with mushrooms. She also adds some veggies and sausages for some extra nutrients and protein,” Agarkar wrote.

Here’s how you can prepare these noodles.

Ingredients:

*Low-carb noodles
*Veggies 1 cup- mushrooms and bell pepper sautéed in some olive oil
