Chhath Puja is an important religious festival celebrated by people in regions across India and in parts of Nepal. Dedicated to the worship of the Sun god and his wife, the festival is celebrated for four days in the month of Karthik in the Hindu lunar calendar. The festival starts four days after Diwali celebrations and lasts for four more days.
