Last year, Shruti Sharma had secured all India Rank 1 in the UPSC CSE 2021 exam. All the top three positions were secured by women—Ankita Agarwal had secured AIR 2 and Gamini Singla from Chandigarh got rank 3.
Candidates who appeared in the personality test can check their results at the official website – upsc.gov.in. The UPSC CSE preliminary exam was held on June 5, 2022, and the results were released on June 22. Abhinav Siwach of Gorakhpur village in Fatehabad district of Haryana cleared the UPSC Civil Services Exam in his second attempt. He secured the 12th rank. Waseem Ahmad Bhat secured the seventh rank in UPSC CSE 2022. The Kashmir boy found his name in the top 10 list after five years of hardwork. This isn't the first time he cleared the exam, two years ago, he secured the 225th rank but since the rank wasn't good enough for him, he worked harder and cleared the exam again. Ishita Kishore, a Delhi University (DU) graduate from Gautam Buddha Nagar, topped the UPSC CSE in her third attempt. She graduated with an Economics (Honours) degree from Delhi University's Shri Ram College of Commerce. AIR 2 Garima Lohia from Buxar in Bihar, is also a DU graduate with a Commerce degree from Kirorimal College while Uma Harathi N from Telangana, who holds a BTech degree from IIT Hyderabad, came third. Of the total recommended candidates, 345 belong to the general category, 99 are from EWS, 263 are OBC, 154 are SC and 72 are ST candidates, as per UPSC.

23 candidates who received coaching and training in the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) have been selected in UPSC'S Civil Services Exam 2022.
Out of the 23 selected candidates, some are expected to get IAS and IPS and remaining candidates are likely to get IRS, Audit & Account Service, IRTS and other allied services of Group-A as per their ranking and choices.

This year, the commission has not shared the data of gender wise qualified candidates in the UPSC Civil Services exam. This data was shared in result document every year till 2021
