UCC: Uttarakhand Police to step up security during Assembly session

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami oMonday said bringing UCC in the state was their electoral promise.

Uttarakhand Police have instructed officials concerned to maintain peace and ensure “flawless security” in their respective districts during the proposed Assembly session later this week. The directive comes amid the possibility of a few organisations staging protests against the presentation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill in the Assembly.
