Two policemen suspended for negligence in duty

Two policemen have been suspended for alleged negligence in duty after an undertrial attempted suicide during his presentation in a court.

Senior Superintendent of Police,Jammu,Anand Jain has ordered suspension of Head Constable Rajinder Singh and Constable Jasvinder Singh.

A departmental enquiry against Assistant Sub-Inspector Balbir Singh,Head Constable Rajinder Singh and Constable Jasvinder Singh has also been ordered by the SSP.

Undertrial Surinder Kumar,lodged in the lockup at Janipur court complex,went to the bathroom on September 2 and tried to commit suicide by slitting his veins. He was later admitted in hospital and is now lodged in Kotwal Bhalwal Jail.
