Delhi trip ‘successful’ and ‘rewarding’: Omar

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah,who today returned to Srinagar from New Delhi,termed his trip as “successful” and “rewarding”.

“Back from Delhi after what turned out to be a very successful and rewarding trip,” Omar wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Omar met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and also with members of the Planning Commission,during which the annual plan for the state was finalised.

“Had an excellent meeting at the Planning Commission.

The state’s plan has been fixed at Rs 6600 crores and the PM’s Recon Plan at Rs 1200 Crs (crore),” he wrote.

The chief minister is today scheduled to meet Parliamentary Finance Committee headed by Yashwant Sinha and Consultative Committee for Tourism headed by Union Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahay later in the evening.

“Everyone is heading to Kashmir,” Omar wrote.
