Uptick in bilateral relations
As India and Australia mark the fifth anniversary of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership this year, the relation has witnessed unprecedented progress, ranging from trade and investment, education, sports and renewable energy. During his visit, Singh will witness an air-to-air refuelling demonstration on a RAAF KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker.
Australia is also a strong supporter of India’s defence industry ambitions. Its first defence trade mission to India is occurring this week in Chennai and New Delhi.
